State Final Safe Driving Competition
The local High School Safe Driving Competitions came to a conclusion last week with the state final in Harrisburg. Lehman Volvo provided the students with 2 stunning Volvo C30s for the driving course.The event, hosted by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association pitted the best finishers from local area high schools against each other in written, slide perception and driving. The state final was held at the Radisson in Harrisburg.
Each participant gave their best effort, as there was a total of $10,000 in scholarship funds at stake. Finishing in third place was Josiah Groff of Conestoga Valley, in second was Bill Diehl of Eastern York and the top prize went to Colin Gelbaugh of Carlisle.
