Bengt Dalemar — Volvo Believer for Life
Growing up a 10-minute walk from the Volvo factory in Gothenburg, Sweden, Bengt Dalemar is more than familiar with the Volvo brand. It wasn’t until he survived a tractor-trailer collision the morning of March 6, 2025, however, that he learned how remarkably safe his Volvo S60 sedan was built. At 6:30 AM, during one of his work commutes, Dalemar was driving on US-30 East in York, Pennsylvania. Traffic was slowing down, however, the tractor trailer behind him showed no signs of stopping. In a matter of seconds, the trailer crashed into him, inevitably causing him to jolt forward and hit the pickup truck in front of him. After the impact, he quickly escaped the vehicle from his passenger-side door, as the driver's side had become largely deformed. Dalemar was placed in a neck brace once the paramedics arrived at the scene, but thankfully, he sustained little to no injuries due to his vehicle taking in the bulk of the impact.
