More on hot Volvo wagons

The V70 R-Design isn't the only hot Volvo wagon you can buy...for 2010 Volvo is offering the V50 T5 R-Design wagon again, but to make things even sportier, they have re-introduced the option of a 6 speed manual transmission!

The list of European sport wagons with manual transmissions is a short one, but with Volvo's latest entry, the best one comes from Sweden (yes, I am biased, but for good reason!). Both our Volvo stores in York and Mechanicsburg have R-Design wagons in stock (V70 R Designs, and one V50 R Design in York) , so come check them out for yourself. Hauling the family has never been so much fun!

Back to school...Safely

The summer always seems to fly by...and now its back to school season. At our Lehman Volvo York location we have the perfect back-to-school ride. A 2004 Volvo know its safe, but it is also stylish as its a Sport edition with spoilers, sporty wheels, and a very cool Virtual blue metallic paint.

This S40 is priced at $11,900 and is very well equipped (seat heaters, sunroof, leather, etc). So, you might as well rest easy knowing at least your children have safe less thing to worry about this school season. See more pictures at

Congratulations to the 2009 Class

Lehman Volvo is a proud sponsor of Central Penn Business Journal's "40 Under 40". Pictured here is the class of 2009, who recently visited our Mechanicsburg Volvo location for a photo shoot/meet and greet.
"40 under 40" honors the top 40 business people in the Central Pennsylvania area under 40 years old. It is pretty fitting, as we represent a brand consisting of 10 under 40...that's 10 models that all start under $40,000.

Get Your Red Hot (Wagons)!

Wagons have ALWAYS been a big part of Volvo's history (well, since the 50s). They are practical, they are easy to drive, and in the latter part of the 80s with turbocharging, they became (*GASP*) FUN!
The fun is expanded this year with the all-new Volvo V70 R Design, and both our Mechanicsburg and York dealership have a RED one. You can see it for miles!
The 2010 Volvo V70R Design features a special interior and exterior, along with a revised 3.2 inline 6 cylinder that offers a more responsive throttle and improved fuel economy. The Volvo V70 R-Design is certainly a way to stand out from the crowd, but still not give anything away in terms of safety, utility, and Volvo-ness!

It's great to be "Simply the Best"

Time to give ourselves a pat on the back...courtesy of the readers of Harrisburg Magazine. Lehman Volvo was awarded as "Simply the Best" Service department in the region.

This is not the first time we have won this award, but it is always nice to read that we are doing things right. Customer satisfaction is ALWAYS our number 1 priority, and that doesn't end when we get the sale.

Lehman has been understanding customer's needs for a long time, and will continue to do so.
So, thanks for the votes! Here's to more awards in the future...

The future looks...electric

Volvo has announced plans to produce a plug-in hybrid vehicle in 2012, and will show a prototype ALL-Electric C30 at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

From the Press Release:

NEW YORK, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Volvo Car Corporation has chosen advanced, American-made lithium-ion battery systems designed and produced by Ener1, Inc. (NASDAQ:HEV) to power a pair of plug-in hybrid V70 demonstration cars being put through their paces across Europe this fall as part of a rigorous development program leading up to the planned 2012 commercial launch of a production plug-in model. The project is a joint venture between Volvo and Vattenfall, one of Europe's largest electric utility companies and a leading proponent of electric vehicle infrastructure build-out.With a single charge from an ordinary household socket, the cars can run up to 31 miles (50 kilometers) using only battery electric power, more than meeting average daily commuting needs for the vast majority of drivers. Beyond the electric-only range, a highly fuel-efficient diesel engine kicks seamlessly in to power the vehicle without interruption."These cars and the battery systems constitute a tremendous engineering achievement and a major step forward in the commercial evolution of electric drivetrain technology," said Ener1 CEO Charles Gassenheimer. "Volvo is every bit as demanding as you would expect. They approached this program with the same relentless passion for safety, quality and reliability that made them famous. You can't ask for a better performance measure than that."

Pretty cool stuff!

Of course the best way to hold out for your own future Volvo is to buy one today, and get 5 years/60,000 miles of next to $0 ownership costs on any 2009 Volvo in stock.

Clients appreciate Value 26% more than last year

Volvo sales nationwide in July were 26% higher than last year. That is not a small feat in these times, and the majority of sales can be attributed to SAFE AND SOUND.
Here are the numbers:
BMW: -27%
M/Benz: -22%
Audi: -6%
Lexus: -25%
Infiniti: -23%
Acura: -33%
And with Volvo showing a gain of 26%, that marks 2 months in a row for positive gains. The value of nearly $0 ownership costs for 5 years is just too good to pass up. There are not a lot of new 2009 cars left at Lehman Volvo, in fact C70s and V70s are completely sold out (although 2010s are on the way!)
