4th Annual Ladies Night To Support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Lehman Motors’ 4th Annual Ladies Night will be held on Tuesday, September 13th from 5:30pm-8pm at the Lehman Volvo dealership in Mechanicsburg. Bring your girlfriends along and enjoy a night out while benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). All event proceeds from Ladies Night go towards the Light the Night Walk in October, a fundraiser walk for LLS.
Lehman Motors has been strongly connected to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for a long time. The biggest campaign for the year is their annual Light the Night Walk, which brings a spotlight to the need for blood cancer research funding. Over the years, Lehman Volvo has been able to raise thousands of dollars for this great cause!
Ladies Night vendors include Tastefully Simple, Discovery Toys, Eye Candy, Shannon Hemauer Photography, Thirty-One, and many more! Congratulations, Mary Abruzzese On "Best Of Cumberland County" Award

Congratulations to our very own, Mary Abruzzese for being voted as the 2016 runner-up Best Car Salesperson in all of Cumberland County!
"Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I like to think that I don't just sell a lot of cars, but I create a lot of relationships. It's those relationships that make my clients feel important.  I genuinely care about all of my clients and their car needs," says Mary Abruzzese.
This year marked The Sentinel’s 14th anniversary of the “Best of” awards, and the first year for the “Best Of Cumberland County” contest.  “This was an amazing Best Of Cumberland County contest. The Volvo Ocean Race Commences In 2017

The Volvo Ocean Race is known for being the toughest, longest, most prestigious sporting event in the world.  Over 45,000 nautical miles are traveled at sea in the 9-month race to victory. 

Last month, Volvo announced the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race route.  Many believe it is the toughest route in the 43-year history of the race. Four oceans will be crossed to take in 11 major cities on five continents. “This year, around 12,500 nautical miles of the race will be in the Southern Ocean, the fast-moving, ice cold waters around the Antarctic where, unhindered by land, some of the deepest weather depressions generate giant waves and heavy winds that can peak over 130 km/h,” Volvo Cars’ official press release states.
How does this strenuous sailing race relate to Volvo Cars? President and chief executive of Volvo Cars, Hakan Samuelsson simply states, “The Volvo Ocean Race is tough and prestigious. So are we.” Volvo Cars acquired the competition in 1997, linking its own tradition of engineering prowess, design and team work to the world’s most arduous and venerated sailing race.

#1 In Sales Customer Satisfaction

Lehman Volvo Cars York has been recognized by Volvo as the “#1 in Sales Customer Satisfaction” in the Northeast Region.  This award is given to the Volvo dealer with the highest CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) score during the first quarter in 2016.

This sales award is a first for Volvo.  After presenting the “#1 Service Customer Satisfaction” award to dealers for the last year, Volvo is now recognizing sales customer satisfaction and will award the #1 Volvo dealer every quarter. The All-New Volvo S90 reviews are rolling in and they are nothing short of amazing.  Motor Trend published their first S90 drive review on June 3rd titled, “Look out Germany, Here Comes Sweden.”
Motor Trend writer, Angus Mackenzie, makes it clear that the Volvo S90 is in-fact a competitive luxury sedan.  “This new Volvo sedan is a luxury car, a genuinely credible alternative to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6. Oh, and Jaguar XF and Lexus GS, too.”
Exterior--Motor Trend Review:
“That confidence and elegance is reinforced by taut exterior surfaces and a handful of crisply defined character lines. The C-pillar rakes dramatically down to the trunk, stretching the greenhouse and visually reducing the height of the roof, giving this three-box sedan an almost coupe-like profile. The concave vertical elements of the bold grille are a subtle homage to the 1972 Volvo P1800’s front end, and dramatically geometric taillights emphasize the S90’s width.”
 

Interior--Motor Trend Review:
“The interior design is an evolution of themes seen in the XC90, with calm, structured forms and authentic materials… There’s a noticeable lack of switchgear, as most functions, including navigation, audio, climate control, and vehicle settings, are controlled by the 9-inch, portrait-format touchscreen at the center of the dash.”
 

The Drive--Motor Trend Review:
“You hardly notice the engine’s there at all. Wind noise is also commendably low—even with big wheels and tires, the S90’s drag coefficient is less than 0.30. But what impresses most is the lack of tire noise and impact harshness from the suspension along with the deft control of secondary body motions.”

Welcoming Chad Rex To The Lehman Volvo Cars Team

With advancements in vehicle technology and safety features, Lehman Volvo Cars determined it was imperative to have a dealership contact solely dedicated to after-sale vehicle inquires.  The Business Development Manager is a unique position designed to facilitate personal client reconnects and to handle all Volvo internet inquires. 
Lehman Volvo Cars is pleased to announce its newest employee, Chad Rex, as the Business Development Manager.  Chad has over 10 years of automotive sales experience and is eager to be a part of the Lehman Volvo Cars team.  Chad enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and two sons, Alex and Ethan.  When he isn’t attending his sons’ sporting events and concerts, Chad enjoys relaxing and watching his favorite football team--the Ohio State Buckeyes!
What is a client reconnect?Approximately two weeks after a client purchases a Volvo, Chad arranges a meeting either at the dealership or at the comfort of the client’s home.   Chad answers any questions the client may still have about their new Volvo and reviews important vehicle features, like Navigation and Bluetooth phone connectivity.
With the addition of the Business Development Manager position, clients now have more resources when a question arises about their vehicle.  This is just another example of how Lehman Volvo Cars puts their clients first.

Congratulations To Pam Peffer On Top 100 Sales Consultant Ranking

On April 21st, Volvo Cars U.S. issued a Top 100 Sales Consultant list for the first quarter of 2016, and Lehman Volvo’s Pam Peffer was ranked number 68 on that list.   
“I’m extremely proud of this accomplishment and couldn’t have achieved it without the support of my family, our staff, and most importantly, my clients,” Pam Peffer expresses.  “There is more work to be done as I strive for the Excellence in Volvo Award by maintaining my Top 100 Sales Consultant Ranking through the rest of this year.”
The “Sales Consultant Excellence Award Challenge” is a program that ranks the top 100 sales consultants in the United States and rewards each consultant with a prize and the prestigious title of a “Volvo Excellence Award Winner.”  The ranking is determined by certain criteria, one of which is the Sales Consultant's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).  The challenge concludes on January of 2017.

Proud Supporter Of Girls On The Run

Lehman Volvo Cars is a continued supporter of the Girls on the Run program.  This past Saturday, over 1,100 girls (plus their running buddies) crossed the 5K finish line at the Giant Center in Hershey! 
The Girls on the Run (GOTR) program is a 10-week course offered for girls in the 3rdthrough 8th grade.  Their mission is to “inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running”.  GOTR program participants celebrate the end of the 10-week course by running a 5K course (3.1 miles).
Lehman Volvo Cars is a proud supporter of the GOTR program, designed to inspire confidence in young girls in Central Pennsylvania.
A Volvo V60 on display for coloring as a fun and creative activity. Don't worry, the markers were washable :)

The V60 was covered in color by the end of the 5K!

Over 2,600 runners (GOTR program participants plus their running buddies) waited eagerly at the starting line. Ready...Set...RUN!

Welcoming Terri Palmer To The Lehman Volvo York Sales Team

Lehman Volvo York welcomes Terri Palmer to the Sales Team! 
Terri is a mother of two beautiful girls, ages 12 and 15, and loves spending time with them every chance she can get! Outside of work and her family life, Terri enjoys taking Zumba classes, grilling on a hot summer day, and sipping on a nice glass of wine every now and then.
Terri started out in the automotive business as a Chevrolet/Buick/GMC Sales Consultant in 2010. She quickly worked her way up to become the Business Development Manager and later the Sales Manager of a newly purchased Honda/Kia dealership.  Thereafter, Terri was promoted to a Sales and F&I Manager position of a Ford dealership in Eastern Shore, Maryland.  Terri and her two daughters moved to Lancaster this past summer after living in Eastern Shore for several years.
“With Volvo’s new innovations in design, technology, and safety, Volvo is a leading competitor in the automotive market,” Terri states, “and I am excited to be on board with Lehman Volvo during the growth of the brand.”

Ed Kautz, Longtime Volvo Parts Advisor, Retires


Longtime employee, Ed Kautz, retires after working at Lehman Motors as a Parts Advisor for 29 years. February 20th was Ed’s last day at Lehman Motors.

Clients and co-workers knew Ed as the man who always smiled. He developed many life-long relationships throughout his time at Lehman Motors. “Ed had a knack for developing a good report with his clients” says Steve Gottshall, Volvo Parts Manager. “I’ve known and worked with Ed for 29 years and wish him the best in his retirement.”

Ed is looking forward to one thing during his retirement—time. Time to do the things he loves most. “It will be nice to have more time to be with my family and serve the lord,” states Ed. Ed plans on visiting Alaska this summer to rebuild homes, which will be his fourth mission trip up north. He also has several fishing trips planned with his two grandsons.

Lehman Motors thanks Ed for his 29 years of dedicated service. The Lehman staff wishes him the best in his retirement!
