Take a little trip...Volvo Overseas Delivery

Alright, well its not a little trip...its Volvo Overseas Delivery. A FREE trip to Europe AND a great deal on any new Volvo. Here is a story shared by Pam Peffer, one of our Overseas Delivery Specialists. She had the chance to experience OSD for herself:

This month, Volvo is launching the All New 2011 Volvo S60. As part of that launch, Volvo invited me to participate in the Volvo Overseas Delivery. After all of these years of selling the Overseas Delivery experience, I was going to go to Sweden to see it for myself. My husband Todd and I were one of the first to drive the new S60 T6 AWD and let me tell you - the car is AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed!

I have been telling my clients for years that this is the greatest way to purchase their Volvo, but now I was going to be able to see for myself. So is it really "too good to be true"? From the moment I called Corporate Travel to make the necessary plans I found out just how professionally this whole process is handled. They took care of all of my flight arrangements and our hotel stays as well. Our Travel Agent even suggested that after my stay in Gothenburg, Sweden, that I should spend a few more days in another city. Stockholm didn't work out, so we decided on Copenhagen, Denmark.

The highlight of our trip was that we were treated to what all Overseas Delivery clients enjoy while on their trip. These benefits include free tickets for 2 on SAS Scandinavian Airlines, free entrance to the Business Class Lounge at Dulles International Airport, complimentary transportation from Gothenburg's Landvetter Airport to the hotel, Volvo Factory Tour, Lunch of Swedish Meatballs and so much more.

Gothenburg, Sweden, is a wonderful city. Most everything is within walking distance and the people there are extremely friendly. Everyone speaks English and they even drive on the right side of the road. On our third day there, we took a short bus trip to the island of Marstrand. A short ferry ride over to the island took us to a completely different world. No cars allowed on the island, cobblestone everywhere you walked, and a fortress that sits high in the middle of the island. After our 3 day stay in Gothenburg, we took the high speed rail to Copenhagen, Denmark. We chose to travel this way so that we could enjoy the scenery. It was a wonderful train ride, very affordable, and we were even served lunch and all of our drinks were complimentary.
Our stay in Copenhagen was amazing. We stayed in the Nyhavn district which is the famous canal with the multicolored houses on both sides. It was like one big party every day with locals gathering with their beers while they cheered and clapped for all of the boats coming in to dock. The best "tourist" activity is the harbor tour which takes you through all of the canals of Copenhagen. Our hotel, Nyhavn 71, is a famous hotel that was once a warehouse for the Oriental Spice Company. Built in the 1600s, it was renovated into a hotel with all of the original fir beams still exposed.

I highly recommend the Volvo Overseas Delivery experience. You get a complimentary trip with hotel stay and the best souvenir of all - a brand new Volvo!
