Nominate a Family in Need of a Car Seat

The holiday season is quickly approaching which means Lehman Volvo Cars' annual “Protect the Gifts” Car Seat Campaign is just around the corner!

There are many new parents in the Central Pennsylvania region who simply cannot afford new child seats for their families and unfortunately end up compromising on safety.  Based on Volvo Cars' core value of safety and Lehman Volvo Cars’ philanthropic efforts, the “Protect the Gifts” Car Seat Campaign provides families in need of new infant, toddler, or booster car seats at no cost.  In past years, Lehman Volvo Cars distributed 50 new car seats to deserving families in both the Mechanicsburg and York surrounding areas.

Lehman Volvo Cars Owner and President, Ray Bromley explains: “During this time of year, the tendency is to start compiling a list of gifts for loved ones and we don’t always take the time to reflect upon the gifts we already have…our children. This campaign is a nice way of putting that thought into a meaningful effort for our community.”


Families may be nominated by sending an email to contest@lehmanvolvocars.com.  Lehman Volvo Cars will select families from the e-mails received and provide up to 50 car seats to be delivered at both Lehman Volvo Cars of Mechanicsburg and York.  Nominations close on Wednesday, November 15th.

Here is your Volvo Safety...

What you see above is the result of an accident between a tractor trailer, a Volvo XC60...and another tractor trailer. If you think the end result is devastating, just be aware...the driver and passenger of the Volvo XC60 walked away from this accident with only minor injuries. This accident happened in Brussels a couple of days ago, here is some of the report from their newspaper: A car containing a mother and daughter crashed into the back of a truck. The vehicle disappeared completely under the rear end of the heavy truck. To make matters worse, a heavy truck crashed into the Volvo XC60 from behind. The result was a lot of scrap. The emergency services had to rescue the two women from the car, who were trapped for more than one hour. The fire brigade had to cut off the roof of the vehicle before being able to set them free.
